Day 8: Begging and Dancing
This is going to be a relatively short update because I sadly didn't see any movies yesterday. Instead I, along with most other people in our class, begged for premiere tickets for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and did not get them :( which makes sense because everyone wanted those tickets (Brad Pitt, Leo, AND one of Tarantino's last films??) but might as well try. Some highlights of the day included: getting cute pictures in our formal wear by the yachts, the peanut man (guy who rings a bell and sells bags of candied peanuts for 2 euros on the street) saving my and Kristin G.'s life because we were so hungry/tired, getting our picture taken so many times I lost count, and being filmed for this magician's YouTube channel.
After that we went back to Juan-Les-Pins and treated ourselves to a nice dinner on the shore (I got vegetarian linguine and we split a bottle of wine), then we got ready and went to the queer party in the AmPav which was so much fun. I got to drink and dance and even network a little bit with filmmakers from the Emerging LGBT Filmmakers Showcase more which was awesome. We even danced with members of the cast from And Then We Danced!!! Afterwards we tried to go clubbing and instead just went to McDonald's and then headed home where I drunk cleaned, ate cookies, and FaceTimed my dad lol (too much info? idk).
So overall still a fun/interesting day even if I didn't get to go to the premiere.
